Ahh this brings back memories, back when I was still a noobie ttk. After reading the Construction wiki page I decided it's time to craft a BB, IIRC my first attempt was Hiei (but I wanted Kongou), still I was happy. The next day my second attempt result in Nagato (but I WANTED Kongou T.T), not realizing how lucky I am to get Nagato that early.

Most game that involves heavy RNG usually never (at it's core) has anything that is a definite 100%. Meaning you get as close to 99% vs 1% chances in the extreme cases. A 1% chance is still a 1% chance after all. And even in some cases where an RNG heavy game does give 100% chances, it's usually only because you've overleveled or did something game breaking rather than playing a level that you should be playing at.
Fire emblem has a pretty similar RNG philosophy as well but Dungeon crawler games definitely play with this alot. And in Xcom, I've definitely missed 99% chances to hit before. Sometimes lady luck just loves to roll those 1s.
And in the case where save scumming is possible. Ever see those tool assisted Valkyria Chronicles videos? The amount of RNG manipulation people do for the sake of a nice 5 minute video is way more work than I'm willing to put into constanly resetting.
He'll one-craft-wonder a BB and nailed it.. (how i met my Haruna)
Much like me. I had Haruna by a craft wonder at BB recipe first try, then another with Souryuu on a CV recipe first try. With those 2, I got to 3-2 in, like, no time at all with my new account.
If I remember right, it is possible to get a battleship even in a basic 30/30/30/30 recipe, but just extremely rare.
I guess if I want to be somewhat realistic, he could craft for a Light Cruiser recipe and then accidently get a battleship.
never heard it being possible ever. from my pool, 4 construction times 300 days means in a pool of 1200 ish all 30 s, i havent even seen a heavy cruiser.

Fire emblem does have that hit/miss bell curve outside of japan though.

Brother! Haruna came to me in exactly the same way. Maybe she is so nice that when she sees an underleveled kuso TTK trying a battleship recipe, she takes pity on him.
Murakumo and Akebono are so strong! We are destroyers, after all.Wha!?Just leave him be.If you're talking about 'strong', then it's a battleship, no?What's a 'battleship'?Battleship! Battleship! I wanna battleship!Looks like he's throwing a tantrum...LongingNo, we're not really that strong. To say it simply, they're the strong, tough and big ones.Make it your damn self!
