    Funny thing, this one. I actually did this. I went to the Psychonomics Society's annual meeting last November and booked both the hotel stay and return flight with the assumption that I would fly in on the Thursday night it started and then leave on the Saturday morning when I thought the meeting ended. It turns out that the meeting actually went until mid-Sunday. At least I made sure that I was able to be at my own presentation, but I missed my advisor's presentation, which included some of my Master's thesis results.
