It's been just 2 weeks and Clownpiece already surpassed all other Touhou 15 characters in number of fanart. Even the demo characters that have been around for 4 months.
I guess we already know who the next super popular character is~

You made Chen and Kogasa sad. Parsee also got pretty high in recent popularity polls.
Those two are also EX Midbosses so they don't quite count.
Doesn't change the fact that they are still stage 2 bosses.

I'm mostly gonna go for typings since I don't know enough for appropriate abilities but...
Seiran - Beast typing is a given as a bunny ... but maybe a Dream type due to her mallet. It's best garner she'd start out as a beast touhoumon like Ran, Chen, Tewi ... though Reisen's a heart type.
Seiran's abilities could be something like Focus or Hustle.
I'm a little biaed with Ringo. Someone think she could use a better typing than this?
Ringo - Beast/Heart typing ... Unfairly judged due to a meme discussion sayin that out of any of the bunnies. It'll be Ringo who screams "Traitor" at Reisen. With Huge Power or Pressure? ...
I really should've given a play through of LolK before commenting. And 1.8s ability list don't really give me much to work with dammit!
Doremy ... Maybe one of her forms would allow for a interesting Illusion typing that's only used by Yukari, and Tori ...From fan portrayals of her, Dark, or Reason seems to be good typings to place different forms of her in.
Kishin Sagume ... the girl the whole world loves to Jinx. Think Reason is a good base typing to start with. Steel types are kind of reserved for weapon users with the exception of Rinnosuke.
Sagume seems to be able to branch into Dream, Heart, and possibly either Faith, or Nature itself. Her character doesn't really put much focus on her ability to fly... but Flying type does sound more reasonable than Nature due to Nature essentially waiting to unleash a critical on her!
Clownpiece in fact is based more on nature than Sagume! Also due to being a fairy of Life ect ect. Pure, and the servant of a goddess ... She could fit into the Faith typing. Just for being something Lunarians cannot stand ... A Miasma typing. Or even Fire for the whole USA! USA! Get up ...
Why can almost the whole cast fit in Dream,Heart,Reason dynamic- why?!
For Clowpy I also want to say, Maaaybe Own Tempo and Pure Power for abilities.
Junko. Oh there's something I definitely want to do with Junko. She's the shell of a woman who's now purified grief. There's still Junko there, but I'm going to reference jizeru's depiction of her.
You could see a child, a mother, a person more human than a human, or a mindless animal. I want to place her as a pure Illusion type puppet. Though perhaps only for as a legendary version of Junko.
Also aside- that may be a bad idea competitively, and perhaps someone can come up for a better argument for, and against these typings- but let's carry on! Oh, and from what 1.8 gives me. Pressure, and Unconscious seems like good abilities to pin on Junko.
Maybe a different ability which purifies the enemy's doll typing to it's main type. Just throwing words to the wind at this point ...
Hecatia! The hip goddess of Greece. Faith is a given typing for her, but I'd love to pin her as something similar to Arceus. Maybe with stones that change her typing, and make her something like Rotom.
She's a goddess of Three Worlds, the Otherworld, Earth, and Moon. Hecatia Otherworld - Faith/Dream, Faith/Dark, or Faith/Fire ... Hecatia Earth - Faith/Water, Faith/Reason or Faith/Earth ... Hecatia Moon - Faith/Heart, Faith/Ice or Faith/Steel
I'd love to place Mysterious ability on her but ... That'd mess up the duo typing thing that could come from this ...Maybe Mysterious could instead become a ability of ... Usami Sumireko.

Sumireko's forms could encompass differences in tool, and fighting specializations like most the starter touhoumons do.
Since I can imagine hitting her with many of the typings too ... Dammit all to the blazing hells. Perhaps Reason/Dream could be the main typing for her ... With Guts or Levitate. I'd love to put Intimidate for the Lels.
