    When I tried transmitting later, the upload didn't seem that bad, but the download was totally shot.

    Since I'm limited to 7GB/month, it seems they restrict me to N MB/day. I wonder if there's nothing they can do about that limit. It doesn't matter how good they can make the video or music services; as long as that limit's there, it doesn't do me any good. (^^;) When they restrict me, the speed drops as if to say, "You're connected...for now."

    I should've checked the wire communication at the time, but since I hadn't brought a hub, I didn't test it.

    You can't do karaoke any more if the line's unplugged!

    I'm from the other end of the spectrum. Everything is slow over here. 3G internet? Reminds me of 56kbps modem. Order food at a restaurant? Unless you're at a McD's, it'll take about 20 minutes before you're served. At least they're quick in serving drinks, though. 5 minutes seems to be the norm, though plain water is almost guaranteed instant serving.
