That's not how tails work.

Guess it's more of a furry spine. It looks like something that would can be an ideal fatality area in Mortal Kombat, where if you tug hard enough you can pretty much just rip out the whole of her spine and her head.

The tail is supposed to connected to the bottom of the spine. Specifically where the tailbone meets the hips. So her tail should be starting a few centimeters above her butt.

I suspect the placement is based on some available images of humans born with a vestigial "tail", as that spot is where some of those tails begin. If I'm reading things right, though, those aren't scientifically described as "true tails", since they don't start from the coccyx.
