Can someone describe the game mechanic that is being referenced here? I haven't played the relevant game(s).

The HUD is from Monster Hunter.
- Top left is the clock showing how much time you have left. (60 minutes for most quests)
- Green = Health. Yellow = Stamina.
- The sword below Stamina is your weapon's sharpness. It will decrease as you attack. (Purple is the highest, gives the most damage and some piercing effect). Only close-ranged weapons have this.
- She's using a type of spear, I assume. And Yes, you can hunt "naked" in the game for challenges.
- Bottom right is the rotation of your items in the inventory. (Potion is currently selected)
- To rotate. Hold Left trigger and press Square. "6" is the quantity of the selected item. Consumable items have limited amount that you can carry to quests.

Couple corrections
Time limit is actually 50 minutes for most hunts, elder dragons have30 minutes
Sharpness provides small damage increase the higher it is and prevents your weapon from bouncing off harder monsters, purple is the highest and prevents you from bouncing off just about any monster
Her weapon would actually be a lance, there is no spear weapon class, though lances always have a shield so it might be a long sword or great sword

I see, so the woman is supposed to be the character you control in the game, and it would be your objective to neutralize the shark?
