I have to say, compared with Alphes' art style, I MUCH prefer Harukawa's style of art. It's not technically bad, but I felt as though ULiL had a lot more feeling to it in terms of its characters compared to HM. The characters in ULiL came across to me as 'Alive' and full of emotions and expression, something I felt was severely lacking in HM, whenever I saw a character in HM I simply wanted to move on to the next fight, but on ULiL I could tell what was happening simply by reading the facial expressions of the characters.

I get the feeling ZUN decked alphes and got Harukawa instead after seeing the reactions to the HM art...
