OOOHh. I was wondering what the first ever post on here would be like. And I was sure that I would recognize the source, and I was right.

I was expecting a touhou or K-on! image as well, seeing as how the tags practically dominate Danbooru today, much to my displeasure.

I first wondered what date is the first picture after seeing a 5 year old photo. Eventually came here after searching through the dates via filter bit by bit.

I'm getting the same feeling as when I've reached an important or hidden local in an online game, like the Eve Gate, or the (now defunct) Northshire Waterfall.

Kinda funny because it was on Danbooru that I first learned what To Heart 2 was. (I'm younger than you guys okay)

- search "id:1" (what I did)
- append "posts/show/1" to the end of the address
- search "id:<*somesmallnumber*"
- the link from Tamaki's wiki page
- jumping to arbitrarily large page numbers of the main list
- Kaiio's tag jumping method (reminds me of that wikipedia game I played a while ago where you started from an article and had to try and get to the target in the fewest number of links
- actually browsing to the end of the page list)

..Now I feel I should've chosen a less lazy method.

Wow a post half as old as me and at that a most beautiful post indeed quite befitting of danbooru to have gotten it's roots with the use of cat ears and underwear. But now a moment of realization for me... now what should I do to kill time...? To the beginning of google I guess.?

My God, how many years have passed.

I guess every place needs to have a start. I just never thought I'd see the start of Danbooru. It gives you this weird tingling, even if the picture in of itself isn't that spectacular. You just know that everything else branched off from here and created the Danbooru that we all know. Every picture, every story, every character from the unlimited amount of series... Danbooru has brought them together in a way that can't really be categorized, but at the same time you simply know how to navigate it. This isn't simply the start of Danbooru, but the start of an adventure... a journey to understand other people better. This is the world's beginning and every picture afterward is the world revolving, going by just a day at a time. THAT IS WHAT DANBOORU IS.

Danbooru will be celebrating its 10th anniversary next year... Funnily enough, 13 days after my own birthday.

Merry Christmas from Space Year 2014!

This is my seventh pilgrimage to the Great First Post of Danbooru. It's become a yearly thing at this point so I can see who else came to see Our Fair Lady Tama-nee. Life is good and all is right.

I am so disappointed that there is not a single cardboard box to be found at the beginning of the end. I can feel the nihilism overtaking my body. Depression is setting in. Life seems like a lie now. Everything that was real is now fake. I can now only hope for the sweet release of death at this point. All hope is lost. This truly is... the end.

To be honest, I was expecting a picture of a cardboard or something. Nonetheless, with this, I too have completed my pilgrimage.

Well, I finally thought to do what I do on sites where it's viable: find the first viewable post. First I've heard of this series, so the thankfully short trip was worth something....assuming I decide to look into it. I think this is the first time that post #1 was viewable on a site, since most seem to be a privated test image or something long deleted.

Like others have commented, I also would find it hilarious if it was just an image of a cardboard box. Oh well, missed opportunity there. Well, this was a long post for a short pilgrimage, so I'll stop talking your eyes out now.
