I am trying to think of what else has spawned so much art of one character or characters clothes as much as this in such a short amount of time

The open-chested sweater fad that took storm is a fine example. Even if technically it was more about the clothes than the person wearing them.

Right now, 20:20 GMT 2015-04-09, she's at 558 posts in less than 7 days (2015-04-03 is when the swarm started).

I don't think anything has had that amount of output.
