Maya has always been popular, although not as popular as the OTHER girls like Kongou or Kongou, but she's popular. Her Kai 2 really help serve to become even more popular cause she look so damn good in it, as well as it having just came out. That and her upgrade don't need a blueprint like so many of the previous Kai 2.
