I'm really beginning to thing that most of the Abyssal Shipgirls are affected by one of two deep-seated desires:

A.) They desperately want/need to be a big sis/onee-chan to a younger girl, as in the case of Battleship-Symbiotic Hime or Ka-class with Yukikaze and Shimakaze. B.) They want/need an older girl who'll be their big sis/onee-chan, as with Hoppo-chan.

But the other Abyssals can already fill those roles. Its just people they're over friendly for besides we all know Hoppo loves RJ for all the Zeros

Well, Hoppo is the only "child" I know of among the Abyssals. And tbh, I was half-joking about the whole 'onee-chan' concept. But I think it's cute that some of the big ol 'scary' Abyssals just want to spend time bonding with the cute little destroyers.
