You just answered your own question. People feel sick about CCP propaganda because the CCP is viewed as the Nazi of our time. The disgust you're feeling when looking at this picture is the same disgust a lot of people are feeling but when looking at the Chinese government. However, if "fake news" is your argument for the westerner's viewpoints, then I don't think there'll be any understanding reached between you and the others, so my suggestion is to just stop talking about this.

On top of this, go to your account settings and add imperial_japanese_army (and whatever else you're squeamish about, each on its own line) to your tag blacklist, then you won't have to face them any more.
