That foot is facing the wrong way

No, it is not. Consider that if she returned her foot to the basic standing position, at right angles to the shin, her toes would be pointing backwards (relative to her). Then imagine her rotating her entire leg back to standing position, a 180 degree turn. Now her toes are pointing forwards and nothing is wrong.

Edit: It does look as if her big toe is on the outside, so if that's what you were referring to, you may be quite right.
