Because MK sucks big floppy donkey dick. I'm not being a fanboy here. There hasn't been a good MK game in forever, yet almost every SF is at least passable.

Also note, Ryu actually loses to Scorpion, and is saved by Akuma.
Likewise, Akuma loses to Chameleon and is saved by Ryu.
(and they don't win by a huge margin)
