after reading Shindou's memo, now I can't help but think that all those times the ship girls were on top are actually just their imagination, and all the times Shindou was top is how things really happened
Well one can't help but notice that all those images really just show the build up, never the outcome, and said memo mentions something to the effect of "when it looks like she'll just take it she'll suddenly go on the attack".
