It's created to protect the fingers from the rope. When you shoot the arrow, the rope may hurts your fingers, so that half-glove is intented to protect them.

I'm not sure what the initial price was, but if it was close to the price for the additional arrows then that sounds like a fairly reasonable price for something like that.
If anything, it's similar to what I've seen at Renaissance Fairs before, even if I usually go for a chess booth over any of the archery/axe-throwing/etc. booths.

So far I only know of Meredy from Tales of Eternia who has that as a weapon.

I'm already learning a German Longsword style for sword fighting. While I prefer to use massive sword because I'm a very stabby person, I'm not sure if I could throw a sword at those kind of targets. If it's target shooting then it'll be bow but overall I'm a sword fighter overall.
