I'm adding my three cents. Shouldn't this image be considered western style rather than anime style? Lara Croft is from England, painter from France, does mostly non-anime, western style. That's not the problem however. The problem is: this particular artwork cannot be mistaken for manga but can be easily mistaken for western comics. Am I wrong?
According to Danbooru official uploading guidelines: what is wanted: "High-quality Japanese anime-style art. For non-Japanese artists, make sure that the artwork is easily mistaken for that of a Japanese artist." what isn't: "Non-Japanese Animation (anime) or Comic related or style art."

I feel like we've had this discussion before. I see nothing wrong with the image but I'll let a mod decide, also we really need to update the rules it's time.

@Nozek We have had plenty of threads on this. My 2cents: "Western" is not a thing you should be looking for. Be on the look out for actually BAD art (which this is not). Flag that.
No artist should get a pass just because they were born in the "right" country. No artwork should get flagged because it was painted in the "wrong" country/art style.

IMO every artist from every country has freedom to draw whatever style they choose but danbooru is for anime-style artworks. There are other websites for western comic. We should stick to the rules, guidelines and tradition. Otherwise, there's going to be a terrible mess. Most of us don't want that, am I wrong?
The following may be uploaded, but will be put to a higher level of artistic and qualitative scrutiny than normal, and (if applicable) you must tag them with the corresponding tag. Please do not upload more than 20 a day of these works:
Western: Drawings of characters from non-Japanese comics, games, and other properties.
Like I said, imo this image doesn't fall under the stricter scrutiny.

@Nozek I don't know of any other booru for non-nint/game art.
And traditionally, we have allowed everything, as long as it's good.

What mess? Please tell me what could possibly go wrong with having western art. This doomsday mindset is annoying and brings nothing to the discussion. We have plenty of high quality western art and nothing happen no doom no gloom.
Don't admonish people for flagging western art. It's borderline content and therefore some people will find it objectionable. Janitors should just use their own judgement whether it should exist on the site or not. If you consider a work too far outside the curve to belong on the site, go ahead and flag it. I think the current uploading rules are adequate since there's no specific ban on non-Japanese art. But I will modify it to clarify that western-styled art is accepted but subject to more scrutiny.
The majority of danbooru's userbase comes here for eastern-inspired art. The same is true for the majority of approvers. It doesn't make much sense to chastize people because they don't approve western art on danbooru, especially given how the top of the queue states "As a general rule, you should only approve of posts that you personally like."
"Subject to more scrutiny" pretty much means "anything too western won't be approved", because that's the nature and taste of the site's approvers.
Also, it's not even that good even if it was completely on-topic. The neck is too large, the pose is really stiff, the shading's kind of flat, and it's not particularly detailed (I'm not really counting random flecks of brown).

I think you might be misunderstanding me; I'm not chastising the Flagger for this particular image; just the general notion of "all Western artists/copyrights don't belong on Danbooru".
