I think the fact they all look slightly older and she disappeared imply she dies before reaching that age, or something like that. it's kind of sad in my opinion.

My first guess was she's half-asleep and dreaming them as exaggerated versions of what they're doing.

More like thinking what they intend to become.
She herself becomes the stars, that everyone is looking at.
