First, the culprit had to know that the books were repurchased
So we can exclude ordinary users
    Ordinary users
    Librarian
The ones who lost or damaged it
That leaves only the librarian or the people who lost or damaged the book
I don't think that the book was intentionally damaged, so it was likely turned upside down on the bookshelf so that the librarian would notice
But then how come the upside down books we found were undamaged and newly repurchased?
So, let's suppose the book was turned upside down by the people who originally damaged it
Even without that last point, it is still hard to believe the people who damaged the books were the ones who turned it upside down
After all, the books' genres are all over the place
