Finally Kasen is in a game. I also absolutely love the fact that her eagle accompanies her in the gameplay. I'm also relieved that Alphes isn't doing the art, his arts quality really took a nosedive...
To the ones who played the demo... any speculation on who the mystery character is?
My first thought was Miko, given the cape, but then the silhouette looked like the head has a ribbon, and given the theme of the game... perhaps it's Sekibanki?

I kinda get used and like his artwork. Still it is kinda good that someone else is doing it for a change.

I think HM's artworks are too stylized to the point of forgoing anatomy. In other fighting games, the artworks are pretty damn good. On the other hand, Harukawa's art is very detailed in a different level kind of good, no other Touhou official artists can compare. Just look at how expressive the girls' artwork.

It might be everyone. Miko, for example, did not have a cape before HM, and Byakuren did not use a hat. If they showed a silhouette with a cape, or Byakuren's hat, noone would have thought of them.
Also, since the story is based on urban legends from outside, characters related to the outside world like the Moriyas and Mamizou might be there. Although it is probably more centered on "who found one of those balls", so anyone can be involved. Personally, I hope Rumia gets there, and gets related to urban legend monsters lurking in the darkness, like the Boogeyman or Slenderman (not sure they count as actual urban legends, but they are really famous). That would be awesome.
And no dragonball parodies yet? Seven balls that (according to Kasen) grant wishes if one collectes all of them. Seems pretty obvious.
Spoilers of FS 25. If you take its silhouette, it looks close to the one in ULiL. I doubt they are the same, because spoilering the character before the game like this would be really weird, but still... It certainly looks menecing, though. It would be great to have it as a boss.
