This will only happen on 2d, actually. Lower and smaller I-class can get a clear view of the Kanmusus' outline since they're larger even with those blending paint pattern, just like you can get a mountain's outline against the surrounding sky.

I think that's the joke. Although camouflage do tend to work like this is real life. Maybe not at point blank but from a good distance.

By the way, anyone notice that Oboro's crab is on one of the I-class instead.
