To think that Houshou would use this style of outfit while Souryuu is using a more traditional one. Not bad at all, though.

Still, Houshou-sensei looks exquisite with her humble, yet elegant ensemble. Really reflects her personality. Odd though for being the mother figure of Kancolle, she hasn't had children of her own yet.

She's married to her job. I know a lot of Admirals (or people in general) who'd jump at the chance to court Houshou.

Well, most of the children here are the modern new generation (crafts, satellites, etc) that inherited their Mama's names. Houshou still doesn't have an official one?

Rather than being underrated, she's giving a different vibe here, probably because she's usually portrayed as the gentle, traditional woman. With a dress like that, I'm more into thinking that she's giving an image of a successful woman, elegant and classy.
