I think it's just another case of a lvl 6 boss adding something they love to the food (Okuu: eggs, Eirin: chemicals, etc.)

I was about to consider this series just another light-hearted OOC-fest, but then the author reminds that Byakuren had a great fear of death, that Kaguya lived at least a bit as the daughter of old peasants and that Eirin is both older than the shinto pantheon and a pharmacist (see the scales). I love when they show their research.
