I don't know, I mean I don't think this artist named him out of the blue and actually went asking the artist himself for the name... Or did we miss something in the 30 Year old Yuubari pool...? Like from commentary or from another upload?

Takeshi along with some other names like Yukari and Kasumi are common japanese names. So yes, I too need proof before we even start calling him "Brock" and slapping a pokemon label on him.
