The Saga of Darren Shan by Darren Shan. I first read it when I was in grade 7, about 6 years ago, and it has been my favorite ever since. When the manga came out I wasn't especially fond of it because of the simplification of details and the drawing style. But as the manga progresses it became more and more interesting. The second half of it was actually better than the novel because it was less draggy and the action was depicted very well. The scene when Mr. Crepsley died was so dramatic and emotional QAQ. Recently I reread the entire series during my free time and I was inspired to draw this. The setting of this is between book 2 and 3 even tho I like the older Darren more. But somehow I love how when Darren first became a vampire he wore his funeral outfit for a long time. I have a little thing for formal male clothes >///< (And I was so sad when he started to wear his new pirate outfit). I definitely recommend this series to those who haven't read it!
