Ironic how crossing the T is portrayed correctly here, whereas it's completely wrong in the actual game.
Not really, the attacking fleet can point more barrels at the defenders but the defenders also a: present a narrow profile and b: can put shots into the attackers broadsides with little to no deflection therefore greatly increasing the chances of a penetrating hit.
