The Kugelpanzer was apparently a lightly-armored prototype vehicle powered by a single cylinder two-stroke engine and may have been armed with either a MG42 or MG34, The only known example was captured from Japan by the Russians in 1945 (Likely in Manchuria).

Theories on what it was used for range from some sort of reconnaissance tank to a armored telephone line layer.
