This is my favorite Kantai Collection interpretation of the Enterprise. She was a smaller ship than either Kaga or Akagi, and I like the determined look in her eyes, she's tough.
Enterprise barely missed Pearl Harbor because the IJN "underestimated" her since they were more interested in big-gun battleships. She then ended up being in almost all of the major Pacific battle over the next year-and-half, fought through major damages, watched both of her sister carriers meet their demise, and then single-handedly carried the banner of the Pacific fleet for more than half a year, often fighting while without being able to finish her repairs (think Rei).
Her toughness has almost a romantic and legendary quality to it, toward the end of the war, the IJN was basically trying to assassinate her.
