  • 見かけたら旅の記念に買うようにしてます。
    先日小松空港でも買いました!

    華厳の滝は、いつも何故か濃い霧がかかっててろくに滝が見えなかったんですよね。
    なんででしょうね?

Once I spot one, I make sure to buy it to commemorate the trip. I even bought one the other day at Komatsu Airport!

For some reason, there's always a heavy fog over Kegon Falls, so we couldn't see the waterfall that well. Why do you suppose that is?

Reader-added tags include "You should say that Sanae-san's prettier than the waterfall, Kogasa-san", "Roman Cancel" (pun from a fighting game move in Guilty Gear) and "You're crushing the mood, Kogasa-san".

The survey wonders what waterfalls are for:

What do you want to do at waterfalls?
    • Sit and pretend I'm training
    • Ride a log and free fall over them
    • Go around behind the falls and pretend to search for treasure
    • Pretend to be Momiji
    • Play "Fight Ippatsu" at their summit

A lot of tourist attractions in the USA have machines that will squash a penny into a commemorative medallions. Is that the sort of thing Kogasa is using here?

Every time. I can't look at a waterfall and think there's NOT something hidden behind it.

This made me nostalgic for those penny-press machines that turned a penny into a commemorative item (especially in Kansas City and around the Ozarks [Silver Dollar City, in particular]).
I wonder if there are any of those still around in other places (or even at Union Station or Steamboat Arabia).

I just saw one at the Fort Worth Zoo on Memorial Day Weekend.

That's one more reason for me to go back to Forth Worth someday (assuming that the press machine isn't going anywhere, of course).

No, Juuden-chan has nothing to do with it. That actually refers to the Lipovitan D commercials.

(Incidentally, the "Roman Cancel" tag is also a pun on the game mechanic with the same name from the Guilty Gear series.)
