OK, so that means one of these weapons is drawn out of its sheath? Well then, how is this "not even" quad?

Those mechanical arms or whatever seems to be only holding the sheath and the girl only fight with her real arms. So, if those mechanical arms are not meant for fighting, she can only be dual wielding.

If not meant for fighting, what are these mechanical arms really for?? Surely not decoration...

Simply for holding the katana's and for ease of unsheathing. The mechanical arms could have some range of movement to help get into a better position. But I'm in agreement that they are not used for combat and are just sheath holders.
