Shōdō Shōnin (Saint Shōdō, roughly) was blocked and troubled by the rapid stream when Jinja-ou (Lord of the Deep Sands) showed up. Jinja-ou then summoned his snakes and turned them into a bridge, and the bridge disappeared after Shōdō Shōnin crossed. That's how the legend goes, it seems.

The rustic bridge constructed here is called "Sedge Snake Bridge", and it seems like it was the origin of the sacred bridge.

So far, it seems it has been rebuilt many times.

Pixiv tags include: "The Convincing Wiki Expert", "She's been forced to be silenced even though she hasn't said anything", and "We won't cross because the charges for all the karaokes have been piling up".

    Crossed any bridges lately, anyone?

What would you like to cross?
    • Kanmonkyo Bridge
    • Great Seto Bridge
    • Akashi Bridge (Not to be confused with Akashi Kaikyou Bridge)
    • Rainbow Bridge
    • Starside Hotel's Steel Frame (Kaiji Reference)

In the past, a god's two snakes went across the river and turned themselves into a bridge. It seems that's how this sacred bridge came to be.
    Grind Grind
Not only that, there are only certain times you can cross, so we'd have to go back without being able to fully cross it.
    Not Yet Opened
Seeing it alone is good enough.♡
We parked the car at a nearby city management's parking lot, and wandered around.
    It's the sacred bridge.
We'd only be wasting money on that, so let's not.♡
    Are we crossing?
    ¥300
Quite the splendid bridge we have here.
    We need money to cross.
