"Stolen" is actually a big word for Master Spark. It's just a huge freaking laser that directly hits the opponent without using tricks, and literally anyone could come out with something similar if they had a mini-hakkero and the knowledge to use it. Non-directional laser is a better example of "stolen spell".

I believe what [KN] is saying is that Master Spark is too simple an idea for it to properly be "stolen".
Master Spark is the magical equivalent to "punch them in the face REALLY HARD!" with a fancy name. A boxer can name his "punch them in the face REALLY HARD!" move whatever he wants, but punching someone in the face is not something they came up with all on their own, and as such, wasn't really "theirs" to steal in the first place.
