In my mind Houshou is 25. It's the number of years between her launching and her scrapping. I was a good age so I just went with it. That would make our daughteru Hibiki almost as old as her "mother" though at 20 years old (June 1932 - February 1953).

That would make some of the Yuugumos infants. Takanami only survived 3 months!

As long as you don't mention their real age its all good.
