A short little comic about Napoleon x Cheryl. I ship it pretty hard :3

Playing off some previous ideas about Napoleon, I started to think about what our time in Eterna Forest must have been like. Cheryl joined up with a handsome, strapping (and may I say, well dressed) young lad for protection, and then got to watch us bungle around for 6+ hours as we fainted, ran, and generally forced her and her Chansey to do all the heavy lifting!

I thought it'd be a nice counterbalance to Napoleon's ordinarily serious and super-composed demeanor if he were incredibly nervous around women, to the point where he can barely even look them in the eye for more than a second (also explains why he's one of the few protagonists who's "best friend" is male instead of female, like Emerald, Fire Red, Heart Gold, etc)! This should make his interactions with future female NPCs like Cynthia interesting from a lore perspective, if nothing else~ xD Hopefully that comes across well in the strip; my GF thought he just looked constipated =P

I tried to draw Napoleon in a Korean manghu-kind of pretty boy way, at least at first, that gradually degrades as the facade crumbles away. I've been a huge fan of everything /u/njike has done since our Emerald run, so I decided to play around with his style of coloring for fun. It was pretty interesting, but I think I'll leave it to the professional from now on :)
