Asuka looks very fetching; but that's a tiny TV in this era especially for Japan: looks like something from 1955.
I think that's intentional. No matter how many times we're told not to "touch that dial" (or did they stop saying that at some point?), there haven't been dials on TV's in decades, and there is no conceivable reason to add them again, yet this one has one.
there very much so is a reason. 99% of tv channels are the same thing now more than ever. they need to be cut down in a smaller number of unique channels.
