Based on an actual encounter between a Maruyu and Kiso (although given the time and location, it is more likely to be Ooi instead, although description in Kancolle side with Kiso on that), where the crew on Kiso asked the crew of Maruyu whether it can actually dive. The crew of said Maruyu was not amused.

I guess they are Shigure and Ashigara
