    I'm a bit reluctant about the ending of this chapter. But don't worry, this story has a happy ending. Next chapter: pixiv #41935383 » Japanese translated chapter by Motomachitencho: pixiv #47833895 »

    Dammit, knew it was going to end like this. But the tears still flow.

    I have to wonder how the house managed to burn down in the first place. Did the other two sisters not go back downstairs after putting the other one to bed? Otherwise they should have caught that before it got out of hand, or at least escaped. Good ol' plot devices I guess.

    It's probably just as simple as that.
    Remember, they stayed upstairs and continued carving and most likely fell asleep.
    Fire unkempt, chips of wood on the floor, wooden house and there ya go; recipe for tragedy.

    He said it has a happy ending, though. Thank You, Setz, for the heads-up :D

    I was half-expecting one of them to cut herself while carving. Not burning alive.
    *sigh*

    If you had told me when the Finnish 4koma gag strips started appearing that their creator would one day make me feel like I just got punched in the stomach about ten times, I would never have believed you. Not even after post #1485497.

    Setz is amazing.

    It would've been easy to translate this chapter into finnish since the grammar is basically the same, but getting teary eyed didn't help any. :'(

    The Prismrivers we know and love are poltergeists created by a Layla that couldn't deal with the absence of her sisters anymore. So this story had "tragedy" written all over itself. It wasn't even a matter of "if", but of "when" and "how".

    Still, ;__;

    As a heads-up, Setz was interviewed for Touhou Tuesday and the interview will air on the 18th of February.

    This chapter was some heavy stuff. Setz is getting way too good at giving the feels.

    Knowing it was coming doesn't really help all that much to prepare you for the impact when it does happen, no. You think you're ready for it, and then...

    This is set during the Winter War in 1939, so Nitori COULD'VE been bumming around Finland.
    You know, if she was crazy.

    Guess who taught Aimo Lahti what he knew about guns and who thought that making a 50kg 20mm anti-tank rifle was a good idea.

    Even knowing something like this had to be coming... even noticing that he showed the fireplace burning like 5 or 6 times in the previous pages... I still feel like I've been gut shot and sucker punched.

    It was the wood shaving, the sisters didn't clean them up and a spark must've left the fireplace and hit one of them causing a fire. Fireplaces are designed to allow the fire to die down without causing anything bad to happen but the wood shaving would cause the entire place to burn if a spark managed to hit one.

    Even if they're kids, I question them making such a mistake. The Prismrivers seemed like a savvy lot.

    Yep, today! Thanks for spreading the word. Also, I was not fully caught up with this comic by the time I recorded the interview, so I missed out on some really good questions to ask him ;_;
