    The rest of it was streaming rows of English, so I couldn't read it. :-) Explanations in Japanese were printed in there too, but my brain refused to understand.

    I figured these must've been the costs of one meal, and I regretted that I didn't try ordering something after all.

    Yep, the Hyatt my parents worked at was close to the local street market/tourist's row and it was definitely cheaper to just go to the restaurant there.
