The expression "he/she could poke me in the eye and it wouldn't hurt" is apparently a common idiom meaning to be extremely in love/infatuated with someone.

Fortunately I wasn't aware of such a saying. The process of proving it wrong sounds painful.

Koizumi's ramblings are what I'd expect Kyon in this strip to say. Maybe Haruhi has altered people - maybe only people close to her - so they can all come up with these conversations?

I hope the Nagato's Child saga is canon with this too. Especially with the doozy of a chapter that was just published.

I think this saying is at the heart of the pool "Disgustingly Adorable" therefore, gonna throw it in there :P

It actually translates to "they can be inserted into my eyes and it wouldn't hurt"

Which, I'm sure, would hurt lot more than just a poke
