It's Pokemon, the same series that has matter/energy conversion, teleportation, shrink rays, sapient AI, possibly even technological time travel given the trading between RBY and GSC, and 100% clean nonpolluting energy to power it all that can actually supply sufficient power, implying a tremendous advantage in energy-collecting efficiency compared to real life. That they have plastic surgery this advanced is, in comparison, significantly less of a stretch in believability of technology.
The only notable thing about this is that they're actually using their insanely advanced technology for something not relating to pokemon for once.
