I mean unless greninja has a hi special attack (Modest or other natures as such) with his alternate ability, chances of him one shotting a hawlucha are slim. Not gonna say its impossible but for the most part your average Greninja is at a slight disadvantage....unless it can learn acrobats, then one can make a scary argument over a super speedy acrobatic Greninja.

It can learn Acrobatics off the TM, actually (forget if it's in the learnset or not). Not quite sure how much good it'll be doing coming off his weaker offensive stat (even with the move having 110 power itemless and getting STAB if Protean) . . . perhaps with a Flying Gem? Feels a bit of a waste of an item slot, though, but eh -- maybe it might work. I've not the resources to check, but if someone can that'd be rather nice to see if it's doablle.

There's no point in using acrobatics. Greninja has a very good special attack stat (far better than hawlucha's attack, for that matter, and hawlucha's special defense absolutely sucks), so it will kill hawlucha with extrasensory before hawlucha kills it with flying press. Protean will make it completely one-sided.

I would have used one, but my slots for those types were taken up by my Chestnaught and Talonflame. I kind of regret it at times.
The grass is always greener on the other side; for my X version I decided to take a different route from my Y and picked Fennekin instead of Froakie, and went with Hawlucha for my Token Flying-type as opposed to, of course, Talonflame -- who proved rather fantastic for an early bird in Y -- to some decent success. Indeed, Hawlucha's performed quite admirably (even neutral hits of her Flying Press mangle the faces and dreams of my enemies), but . . .
I still kinda miss Talonflame, even if Hawlucha is awesome and gives me an excuse to use a wrestling announcer voice. I also keep on wondering if Chesnaught would have been more for-me than Delphox; that shield move is highly appealing in comparison to the firey fox's signature move. Ah well, there's always the next game to complete the trio proper, right?

I don't think that particular Greninja has Extrasensory. I mean, it's using that sucky Water Shuriken attack.
