  • なんとなくラーメンが食べたかったのですが、バイキングのレストランもあったので悩みました(笑)

I wanted to have ramen for some reason, but there were buffet restaurants too, so I was suffering. :-)

Reader-added tags include "Yuyu-sama for times like this", "Revenge ramen", and "A matter of life and death, eh, Kogasa-san".

    The survey craves cinematic cuisine:

    What shall we eat?
    • Chaplin's shoes
    • Blade Runner's udon
    • Indy Jones's insect cuisine
    • 2001's space food for space travel
    • Soylent green

Udon. The space food might be ok, but the other ones... no way.

Probably Udon for me as well. Space food is kind of okay, but the only experience I've had with it is the novelty packs of freeze-dried ice cream they sell in museum gift shops, so my perspective is likely highly skewed. Shoes aren't really something I would want to eat if I could avoid it, and the same would generally go for insects if it was possible to identify them or, at least, visually identify the parts that are most likely from an insect (which, from what I can tell, would make the vast majority of insect dishes unpalatable to me). As for soylent green, I can't say that I'm not at least mildly morbidly curious, especially considering that it's just a very extreme form of recycling.

Chaplin's shoes. The props were crafted out of liquorice.

Edit: BTW, Moon, in case you missed it:

The survey stills falls under the category of "interesting extra stuff the artist wrote" so you could put it with the commentary if you want.

Reader-added tags don't count since the artist didn't write them though.

Soylent Green. What's wrong with a little unknowing cannibalism...?

I remember hearing that a while back. It makes them no more appealing to me. :-)

Edit: BTW, Moon, in case you missed it:

Yeah, but then I couldn't include any sort of introduction to the polls.

Fair enough. I do like the introductions so good for me.

Yeah, still not very appetizing (even if they were made from salmiak instead of regular liquorice).

There's all sorts of fun names, aren't there.

Whoa, what a cool restaurant name!
    Choose a place carefully, now.
Because your choice for lunch will decide the grade of your dinner, got it?
