Eyup, it's real. Image pops up around 03:40.
    http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/mon-december-9-2013/that-thing-they-said-they-re-not-doing--they-re-totally-doing

If you are unable to watch the video. It's about the logo of the recently launched NROL-39 satelite.
The un-edited logo can be seen here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Nrol-39.jpg

He then mentiones, "that the logo is just 1 terrified schoolgirl away of being a very popular comic book in Tokyo"
At which point they show this modified image.

How I so hate this kind of stereotyping just to make your own people feel superior to another.

It's not just a crime of arrogance and racism but also a critical fault of ignorance.

    Pffft.

When Japan stops making and obsessing over tentacle porn, the stereotype will be played out.

Or are you saying that Japan is no longer the world's primary producer of cephalopodic erotica?

The problem is while tentacle porn does exists, and while a number of Japanese people may undeniably like them, they are a very small minority among both anime medias and ero-anime medias themselves. As a person on an anime-centric site, I think you should already know that.

Because there's a horrendous and infamous film from Serbia notoriously even called Serbian Film out there, does that make the entire film industry of Serbia rape-obsessed maniacs? No.

It's a forced stereotype created to antagonize and subvert others in order to elevate your own people, it would be like claiming all modern German people are still Nazis, especially if you don't even know what Fascism means.

Worst is not the fact that you have to be extremely ignorant to believe in these sorts of stereotypes, but you have to critically embrace said ignorance. I know this is the internet, where everyone uses the "I can say anything and no one can do anything about it" mindset and all, but hell I'd say it especially is because this is the internet age, where you can access the other side of the globe in seconds, it's unbelievable how someone not only remain but chose to remain to be so ignorant.

.....You keep flinging that word ignorant around. Isn't getting offended FOR a group of people who probably could care less about this whole situation kinda ignorant. I mean I can't tell you not to be offended (If your offended your offended, nothing can really changing that) but if your getting offended cause you feel like you need to defend the Japanese people, I can assure you they don't need your help, and probably are concerned with bigger issues. Oh and tentacle porn has been a thing in japan for a very long time, like EXTREAMLY long time, in writings known as the fishermans wife (I know cause I like me some tentacles, im weird I know but its true.)Plus in japan tentacle porn can jump through censorship laws making it kinda popular for people who are bugged by censorship and don't mind odd tentacles.

Which was why I mentioned Serbia and Germany. It doesn't really matter who is being discriminated against because the problem is not the victim but the offender. I myself have met a bunch of racist and ignorant Japanese people myself both online and in real life, and I'll have to tell you I hate them as much as I hate these people who think tentacle porn constitute for 100% of modern Japanese culture.

I know the history of tentacle porn, I know why they emerged as a genre, but again, who is being discriminated is less of a problem than the idiots who blindingly points their monkey fingers at others just to feel superior.

    Well said.

That being said, it is getting harder these days to notice the difference between satire and seriousness. I personally blame that on the need for news networks to grab attention and viewership as well as the fusion of entertainment and news in the pursuit of said viewership count.

The sad thing is, sometimes satire news like Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert are actually more information than actual news...

On a side note, just remember the saying: "who watch the watchers?" and "Power corrupts" Given the fact that there is almost no oversight on the NSA's activities and that they could monitor (almost) any part of the internet they wish... Makes you wonder how many of them are watching hentai while on the job using their office computers?

That is what America is only good at: Bastardization and Ignorance

I guess the Vietnamese really hit them hard as well as the twin towers and the raid at the Capitol plus losing against Afghanistan

    Serves them right
