Sure, she could be lying but why would she need to? She's got the skills to kill. She had a motive - Ryuukos dad was working with Nudist Beach and probably even made Senketsu just so one of their guys could go postal on Satsuki. And she has the Blue Scissor Blade. Plus so far she doesn't strike me as a person who would lie about things like that. And Satsuki never said she did it, she just said she knew who did it.

Actually, given the ease with which Nui dispatched the Elite Four's strongest member, and how much Satsuki seems to dislike her, it kind of makes me feel like the whole thing with Honnouji Academy is a game that Satsuki is putting on to stick it to her mom, and now that Ryuuko has crossed the line by evolving Senketsu, the grown-ups are stepping in.

Could just be the standard villain plan of getting opponent worked up so she can show her her full power. Also think Satsuki is probably still involved if she isn't the killer. (We see her silhouette in the flashback to Pop's Death)

That proves, that villains are morons. All that flamboyant bs instead of sending just an assassin to either classically slit her throat in her sleep or the classical sniper, but that would be boring, right?
