    My legs were just barely too thick for it to lock, so I locked it one position higher, leaving this uneasy gap between the bar and me.

    But the scariest thing to me so far is the Flying Carpet at Korakuen amusement park. That had a single bar for the one row seating everybody, so thanks to someone with a large build sitting next to me, the safety bar was practically meaningless. I felt a little like my life was in danger then. (^^;)

    Your hatred is well-placed. I remember going on a ride at a local fair where the harness wasn't secure enough for my liking. The feeling was so bad that I felt I could be flung out if I didn't hold on. I never went on that ride ever again.

    I know how you feeling. It the same when I ride Mountain Space and there;s a gap into it. Really fuk up.

    I have mixed feelings about the rides with that type of safety bar. On one hand they usually aren't as fast, exciting, or extreme as the ones with proper braces. On the other, they usually aren't as fast, exciting, or extreme as the ones with proper braces.

    I don't really give it too much though when there's a gap like that. Odds are, once the ride gets going, my body will be touching that bar, anyway, or I'll be having too much fun to notice. As long as I'm no danger of falling out, it's all good.

    For the poll, have to be careful about those buses with bombs on them.

    I remember going once to a local fair thingy and rode one of these attractions that are bars with seats that spin and go up and down... I don't remember the name, and my seat was the closest one to the center of the thing, then, at one point, it stopped while it was tilted and I almost fell down because the harness of my seat was completely broken.

    Soo yeah, I don't like fairs that much anymore

    Seeing how one can easily be flung free and killed by a gap of even a half inch, your rage and fear is completely well founded.
