It's been done before, as long as it's good enough to get posted, and on topic, there's no reason why it can't be posted. It's judged the same as any other image, there's no bias for or against.

As soon as you put any image online it can be stolen. A watermark can prevent this sometimes, but what's the point. If the image is copy written somewhere then the most someone can do is take your image and claim bragging rights to it's creation. Big whoop =)
