Why are approximated Romanized Japanese names used for Fire Emblem (Solt [Instead of Sōru ソール] vs Stahl), but the American translations are used for other series' characters (Like Yoko Littner vs Yoko Ritona)?

For non-Japanese or outright made-up proper names, use their official spellings where possible.

Thank you, but my confusion is in regards to when there are "two" official spellings, official English, and Official Japanese. The official English spelling is Chrom, not Krom, and characters from other series use an English spelling.
