I did some looking into it and reworked the last sentence, but I'm no expert, so feel free to tinker.

It's not totally clear to me either, but my thought based on the scene, and Haruhi's personality, was that she was telling Kyon he should be grateful for what she does, and not the other way around.

She means Kyon should be grateful for all those effort (dishwashing) he does every day.
Else, she wouldn't do it and her hand wont be so silky
