I can't remember, but I think he is the star of From Whom the Frog Tolls.

I noticed Kanako is often shown reading newspaper. Wonder if its the Bunbunmaru?

With ZUN going to the Bible Belt this autumn, I'm having imaginings of him coming away with ideas for more Judeo-Christian material.
Maybe explained in-game as some long-hidden group that survived the Isolation period by living in Gensokyo.

I wouldn't be surprised if he actually calls back some "christian" pc-98 characters, or even makes Rumia the final (or ex) boss relating her to Lucifer. She already has her "crucified pose" thing after all, meaning that she may know about Jesus Christ and could probably be not from Gensokyo, like the Scarlet Sisters.

That's not hard at all, with them being polar opposites. Take [seal] away the light and there's darkness left. Also, if ZUN can bullshit "controlling time" into "controlling space" and "hearing ten people at once" into "hearing one person's ten desires," I really don't see why that would stop him.

That said, I can't really see him doing that with Rumia, as his pattern tends to be recurring characters show up at lower power levels than their previous appearances.
