I feel like having to peel the charred remains of your shoes would become a daily ritual with this design

The biggest downside I can see is the inability to wear pants or pantyhose if she plans on using her jets. Also, there's no way she has enough fuel for more than a few minutes of flight.

Regardless, I'd still throw money at researchers who promised to develop this technology.
